About the Role
> Architect and develop secure embedded operating systems for high-security smartcard controllers
> Define JavaCard-based OS architecture, security concepts, and software components for smartcard platforms
> Work with state‑of‑the‑art microcontrollers, modern IDEs, and industry‑leading development frameworks
> Design and implement security-critical functionality, including authentication mechanism, cryptographic services, and secure data management
> Develop, integrate and support smartcard applications and applets
> Collaborate with leading global technology partners
> Support teams in integrating AI-assisted tools into secure development workflows e.g. code review, secure coding verification
> Provide technical guidance throughout the software lifecycle
> Define JavaCard-based OS architecture, security concepts, and software components for smartcard platforms
> Work with state‑of‑the‑art microcontrollers, modern IDEs, and industry‑leading development frameworks
> Design and implement security-critical functionality, including authentication mechanism, cryptographic services, and secure data management
> Develop, integrate and support smartcard applications and applets
> Collaborate with leading global technology partners
> Support teams in integrating AI-assisted tools into secure development workflows e.g. code review, secure coding verification

Your Profile
> Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (University or University of Applied Sciences)
> Profound experience in smartcard OS and embedded security development, ideally in security-critial environments
> Solid knowledge of smartcard-related standards and protocols such as GlobalPlatform & JavaCard
> Experience using AI-based tools for software development and design
> Hands-on experience with tools such as Eclipse or Keil
> Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset as well as an independent, structured working style
> Familiarity with version control systems e.g. Git or SVN is an advantage
> Excellent English communication skills (German is a plus)
> Profound experience in smartcard OS and embedded security development, ideally in security-critial environments
> Solid knowledge of smartcard-related standards and protocols such as GlobalPlatform & JavaCard
> Experience using AI-based tools for software development and design

We offer for this position a package starting at € 60.000,- gross per year on a full-time basis. Depending on qualifications and professional experience a market-oriented overpayment is intended.
